Playing career

Muzzin was drafted 141st overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Unsigned by the Penguins from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League, Muzzin later signed as a free agent to a three-year entry level contract with the Los Angeles Kings on January 4, 2010.[1]

Following the Kings' training camp and pre-season games, Muzzin made the Kings opening night roster for the 2010-11 NHL season.[2] On November 3, 2010 Muzzin was assigned to the King's AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs.[3] However on November 9, 2010, the Kings recalled the defenseman to the NHL for a brief stint before again given a reassignment to the Monarchs in favor of defenseman Alec Martinez on November 23.
